ADC Seeks Closer Relationships with Consultants
The consultant community in North America recommends as much as $14 billion in telecommunications spending annually, and is engaged with healthcare, financial, manufacturing, state/local government, education, and service provider clients.
"Consultants serving the enterprise and service provider markets are important influencers on those making key buying decisions," said David Yanish, Senior Manager of Partner Programs for ADC. "Although consultants do not purchase or resell ADC products and services, competition in the network infrastructure industry is intense and they have significant influence on those markets that are critical to our company's business model. Given the sway of their expertise and opinions about trends and technology, we see the need for strengthening our relationships with professional architects, consultants, engineers and, in turn, the key constituencies that they serve."
Major elements of ADC's PACE Program serving the consultant community will include regular technology education forums, networking events, and premier support availability - all delivered in an informative and educational environment. The goal of the PACE Program is to create a network of consultants that will serve as a resource to help participants stay abreast of cutting-edge technology and to learn from industry-leading vendors and peers that are driving innovation in the enterprise and service provider markets.
"Our relationship with professional architects, consultants, and engineers is not a one-way street for the company," added Yanish. "We see it as mutually beneficial with the key benefits to these parties being information and access that ADC will help facilitate. The best consultant programs in our industry are those that consistently deliver valuable, non-sales/marketing information on a broad scope of technologies and industry topics. That is the objective of ADC's PACE Program."
Among the PACE Program tools and resources being developed:
-- Weekly E-Newsletter
In a crisp, informative e-newsletter, ADC will provide information on leading-edge technologies and products that interest consultants and their clients. Potential topics include VoIP, 10G Ethernet, Wireless, FTTP, and Data Centers. For those who desire more detailed information on a profiled product/topic, ADC will host a related summit featuring a subject-matter expert who will present and field questions.
-- Secure Web Portal
A library of e-newsletters, white papers, presentation materials, and specification/proposal tools will be maintained for 24/7 access in a secure web portal on ADC.com. Also through this portal, consultants may ask questions and request technical support from ADC experts.
-- Specification and Proposal Tools
Via the secure web portal, consultants can access a library of proposal boilerplates, specifications, calculators, white papers, and other tools.
-- Technical Support Hotline
A toll-free 800 number and email address have been established to funnel technical requests from our consultant partners to a specific Customer Service resource.
